The Problem with Regular Citrus Pectin
Regular citrus pectin is not absorbed into the bloodstream. There are still health benefits to it, as a fiber — since its carbohydrate chain is very long and isn’t digested or absorbed, regular pectin remains in the gut, where it can improve gut health.
